Hermanus Abseiling

Abseil - a German word. The meaning: to descend with the use of a rope.
Add some beautiful scenery and you have an exhilarating and beautiful experience all in one.

The 6 storey (18 metre) high abseil by Gearing Point is not only great fun but also very scenic and affordable. You stand the chance to experience extraordinary bird life, cape fur seals playing in the water right next to you or the majestic Southern Right Whale swimming right past you, while you are hanging on a rope! It is incredibly accessible, situated in the heart of Hermanus and kids from the age of 8 to 80 can come join in this activity. The guide is well trained ,with more than 5 years experience and having hosted over 1400 abseils, to make sure that you will be safe at all times. Abseiling will be operated daily. However abseiling is a weather dependant activity, so trips will be cancelled on rainy days or if strong winds are gusting.

A low cost, over the edge, thrilling activity.
