Walker Bay Adventures specialize in informal team building and fun activities for team building events in Hermanus. As we are local, and have worked in the area for many years, our team has unique knowledge of Hermanus and therefore can ensure your event includes the best our town has to offer.
We understand that each company's requirements for a Teambuilding exercise are different depending on their staff profile, budget and the style of event envisaged.
Our Team shall consult with you for a background on the group and design a suitable package no matter what the venue, catering or entertainment requirements.
Our fun activities are for groups that require a fun day out, year-end functions, customer entertainment and other such events. We provide a selection of fun activities and games for the groups enjoyment without a serious emphasis on teambuilding.
Informal team building is for groups that wish to achieve a level of teamwork and improve communication, trust and cooperation. We have a selection of activities that emphasis these issues but with an emphasis on fun.
Walker Bay Adventures will tailor packages to your needs, making use of their existing adventure packages, and the following variations. We can organise a day, weekend or a few hours as well as accommodation and meals if required.
WALKER BAY ADVENTURES AMAZING RACE
The mini amazing race is a multi activity event that utilizes cryptic clues, problem solving challenges, and a host of activities and challenging tasks. It will test the teamwork, resourcefulness and intelligence of your team whilst they complete a journey through Hermanus. The race can be done on foot or in Kombis and can include, abseiling, mountain biking, paint ball, canoeing, hiking, boat trips, paragliding, 4x4 trails, raft building, treasure hunting, wine tasting…….. the list goes on.
The race can also be made less physical and more cryptic and can be a great way to get your team to a reward meal or activity. It can be done over two days, one day or just a few hours dependant on your requirements.

BEACH GAMES & OLYMPICS
Your group is taken to grotto beach where it meets the lagoon. The
setting is sand, dunes, sea and lagoon. The beach Olympics can be made
competitive between teams or we can just provide a number of activities
for you to choose from. We can also combine this with a seaside picnic.
Beach Olympics can include a treasure hunt, 3 legged race with a
difference, Stretcher race, Lagoon kayak race, blind folded kayaking,
the great egg throw, sand castle competition, kite building & flying,
Frisbee golf, Beach volley ball, beach soccer, beach cricket, blind
folded puzzle find and build, horse riding (small groups). The list goes
on. You let us know of your requirements and we can make the program to
suit you.
RAFT BUILDING
Participants divide into small project teams. Each is charged with the challenge of building a raft from a limited supply of resources (barrels, boards, and rope.) Your vessel must be capable of transporting several team members and your team flag, to then navigate through a course then hopefully back to shore. All members of your crew must coordinate efforts to brainstorm, create and build the raft. If you raft does turn into the titanic we have our crew standing buy to help you out!
RAFT BUILDING/TREASURE HUNT VARIATION
Teams engage in an orienteering exercise to find the materials to build their raft. Once at the buoy, each group retrieves a treasure, which is actually a puzzle piece to a problem that can only be solved, when competing teams combine each of their puzzle pieces.
RAFT BUILDING/OVERNIGHT VARIATION
To really challenge the team and work the group dynamics you can build rafts that shall have to transport the group on a two-hour paddle across the Lagoon. Here we shall stay the night at Mosaic Farm Lagoon Lodge and you shall have an option of other activities such as horse riding, birding, hiking, canoeing or a the walker bay survivor challenge the next day.
WALKER BAY SURVIVOR CHALLENGE.
A team-building event to stimulate and strengthen the bond between
members of any team. The concept will involve a series of fun and
participative activities in the teams / tribes.
Our team will set up and run each activity along with the day’s
coordination. Our guides will ensure safety and first aid will be
available at all times.
The group would be split into their respective tribes and be required to find and complete several activities, all of which are allocated points. There shall be an awards ceremony for the winning team however the real winners are those who have. This can be run at a variety of venues dependant on where you are staying.
MOSAIC FARM LAGOON LODGE EXPERIENCE
We can canoe, hike, drive or horse ride into Mosaic farm for a truly rejuvenating and bonding experience. The Lodge is situated on the Hermanus Lagoon surrounded by Cape nature reserve and mountain/ lagoon views. Here we can provide an array of programs from raft building to survivor challenge, canoeing, horse riding, and potjie competitions the list goes on. EVENING ENTERTAINMENT
So as not to let your evenings go to waste, we can organise activities such as; Potjiekos Competitions, Chefs and Training, Wine and Dine Survivor Challenge, Quiz Nights, Karaoke (if you must).
